The EDW team has developed a new webpage to give you insight into the current status of the information you access through BusinessObjects queries, scheduled reports, and EDW delivered file feeds.
On a recurring basis (generally daily), EDW receives files from various source systems and updates the data. Until the most recent file is processed, transaction universes will not contain the prior day’s transactions, and snapshot universes will not contain the current snapshot, and reports and files may not return expected results. When a file is delayed, the impacted universes on this page will have a status of “Not Current”. When the file has been loaded, the status will be updated to “Current”.
Additionally, it’s helpful to use this page to review the last updated times for the universes you query. You’ll notice data is generally loaded between 12:00 AM and 6:00 AM. It’s important to schedule reports to run after this window of time so that they return expected results.
Payroll reporting users will also find the payroll data status page to be helpful in planning for future pay cycles. Use this page to determine whether payroll transactions for a given cycle have been loaded for your member. For future cycles, review the ETA column to find out when the cycle is expected to be available in BusinessObjects. This page is especially helpful for FTE Quarterly Report users, because the Quarterly FTE Dependency column identifies the last pay cycles of the quarter that must be complete before quarterly reports will return expected information.
