The Course Details Page

When you select a course listing from the Course Catalog, the Course Details page will display.

Example of Course Details Page

The details provided on the page include:

  • Course Number and Name
  • Course Description: A brief description of the course, including information such as objectives and registration instructions.
  • TAMUS Member: The Texas A&M University System university or agency that owns the course.
  • Course Type: Options available are In Classroom, In Classroom (Legacy), Online, or Other. For more information about Course Types, visit the Course Types Page.
    • In Classroom: courses for which registration via TrainTraq is available.
    • In Classroom (Legacy): in-classroom courses that are listed in TrainTraq but do not allow registration via TrainTraq. To register for an In-Classroom (Legacy) course, please follow the instructions included in the course description. If there are no instructions, please contact the course owner.
    • Online: on demand web-based training.
    • Other: category type used for various purposes, such as courses that direct users to a course not available in TrainTraq. Review the instructions in the course description; many of these courses do not automatically record completions to your TrainTraq transcript.
  • CEU and CPE: Indicates the number of Continuing Education Units or Continuing Professional Education credits for the course.
  • Contact: Indicates the course contact for questions or concerns about the course content.
  • Course Equivalencies: Sometimes the course may have one or more alternate equivalent versions that can be taken instead. If a course has equivalents, they will be listed in this section. If the equivalent is an active online course, a Start Equivalent Course button will appear. The example above has an equivalent online course.
  • Prerequisites: If a course has one or more prerequisites that should be taken first, they will be listed in this section.
  • Course Tags: Some courses have been tagged by the owner to indicate their content. Tags will appear in this section.
