The FAMIS Services Department is part of the Office of Information Technology within The Texas A&M University System.
FAMIS Services is responsible for maintaining and developing the Financial Accounting Management Information System (FAMIS). Our team also provides support to all A&M System members who have chosen to implement FAMIS in order to meet their accounting needs. Twenty-two Texas A&M System members and the Texas A&M Research Foundation utilize the functionality of FAMIS. This translates to more than 4,300 users!
FAMIS Services concentrates its efforts on answering questions and solving problems that are presented by individuals in the business offices. Many of the functions and components of our financial systems are supported by specialists across the Texas A&M System.
The FAMIS Services Working Group reviews and prioritizes major change requests submitted by members of the A&M System. Items requiring significant development work are reviewed by the Financial Systems Council.
