FAMISweb Release 1.8

Release 1.8 (available Friday, June 5, 2026) introduces features and enhancements designed to improve visibility across records, streamline navigation and provide a more intuitive and consistent user experience. This release continues to build on recent improvements to asset management, document workflows and account maintenance while delivering refinements to search, filtering and overall usability.

New and Enhanced Pages and Features

Asset Management

  • Asset Overview (All Components): A new Asset Overview (All Components) page provides a consolidated view of an asset and all associated components in a single location. This page makes it easier to review asset details without navigating across multiple screens.
  • Asset Search: The Asset Search experience has been enhanced to provide more flexible filtering and improved category selection. These updates make it easier to narrow results and locate specific assets quickly.
  • Asset Components and Navigation: Asset component displays have been refined with clearer labeling, improved formatting and better organization of key fields. In addition, users can now navigate more directly from asset-related views to detailed asset information, reducing the need to search for records again.

Documents and Approvals (TDP)

  • Transfer Departmental Property (TDP) Workflow: FAMISweb now supports TDP documents, introducing a complete workflow for creating, reviewing, routing and searching TDP records. This new functionality allows users to initiate and track property transfers within FAMISweb.
  • New Pages: Several new pages support the TDP process, providing a full lifecycle view of departmental property transfers with improved visibility into document status and routing activity.

  • TDP Usability and Validation: Improvements across TDP pages provide clearer validation, better field guidance and more consistent behavior when creating and editing records. Users will notice more helpful messaging and improved handling of required fields.

Account Attributes (SL)

  • Navigation from GL Overview: Users can now create a new SL account directly from the GL Overview page, simplifying navigation and reducing the number of steps required to begin account setup.

Receivables

  • Customer View: A new Customer View page provides improved access to customer information within the Receivables area. This page offers a clearer layout for reviewing customer details and supports easier navigation from related records.

Purchasing

  • Vendor Integration and Navigation: Purchasing pages now include enhanced vendor integration, allowing users to access vendor details directly from related transactions. These updates improve visibility and reduce the need to navigate between separate areas of the system.

General Enhancements

  • The My Entitlements page has been updated to provide a richer display of user access, including improved filtering options and clearer organization of entitlement information.
  • Ongoing updates to dropdowns and selectors introduce more consistent behavior and improved usability across the application, including clearer labels, better defaults, and enhanced selection controls.
  • Search and grid Improvements make it easier to locate records and refine results across FAMISweb. Across multiple areas, search and grid functionality has been enhanced to provide:
    • More consistent filtering behavior
    • Improved handling of date and column filters
    • Enhanced display of selected filter values
    • Clearer sorting and column organization
  • Usability and visual refinements in this release include a wide range of improvements that enhance the overall experience, including:
    • Clearer tooltips and field guidance
    • Improved layout and spacing for forms and grids
    • More consistent labeling and terminology
    • Better handling of validation messages and required fields
    • Updated styling for links, text, and interactive elements

This release continues to expand system capabilities while focusing on usability, clarity, and efficiency. These enhancements help users complete tasks more quickly, navigate more easily, and better understand the information presented throughout the application.
