FAMISweb Release 1.13

Release 1.13 (available Friday, November 6, 2026) expands FAMISweb with new and enhanced tools for asset management and account maintenance. The release also includes updates to document processing, search and selection, validation and page usability to help users find information, maintain records and complete routine work with clearer guidance and a simplified workflow.

Be sure to read Squashed and Shipped (a.k.a. Fixes That Matter) at the end of this update for fixes and refinements included in this release.

Enhancements

Asset Management

  • Approved asset component editing: Asset component pages now support maintenance of approved assets. Authorized users can update applicable accounting, property control, location and inventory and other asset information while business rules continue to control which changes are available.
  • Asset validation and guidance: Validation on asset component pages provides clearer field-level and section-level guidance, including more precise identification of records that need attention.
  • Shared component-level attributes: Shared fields across sibling components of an asset now stay consistent automatically. When a user updates one of these shared fields, the system applies the change across all sibling components in Pending, Approved, and Disposed states. This ensures aligned data, as in the legacy screens.

General Accounting and Account Oversight

  • General ledger (GL) flags and account actions: GL pages include expanded actions for eligible accounts, including updates to Sponsored Research Services status and account status. Related notes provide additional context for supported account changes.
  • Subsidiary ledger (SL) and support account (SA) notes and actions: SL and SA pages now provide broader access to account notes and include additional account-maintenance actions when available to the user.
  • Audit information: Account audit information now includes the account fiscal year, providing additional context when reviewing changes across fiscal years.

Documents and Approvals

  • Inbox search and processing: The Inbox now includes document search and updated actions for processing documents. Users can search by document identifier, select multiple eligible documents for supported actions such as bulk approvals, and enjoy an enhanced design when viewing another user’s inbox.

General Improvements and Refinements

  • Search and selection: Search fields, campus selectors, type-ahead controls and dropdowns have been refined across selected pages to provide clearer results, more consistent filtering and better visibility into selected records.
  • Validation and guidance: Validation messages and error displays have been refined across asset, building and customer workflows so users can more easily identify information that needs attention.
  • Grids and page displays: Selected grids, column widths, labels, headings, dialogs and page elements have been refined for improved readability and more consistent interaction.
  • Access and navigation: Access rules and navigation have been updated on selected pages so available features and actions better align with user permissions.
  • Usability and visual refinements: Updates to buttons, dialogs, notifications, selectors and accessibility details provide a more consistent experience across selected FAMISweb pages.

Squashed and Shipped (a.k.a. Fixes That Matter)

  • Asset component maintenance: Fixes improve asset editing, building and room data, accounting fields, purchase account validation and display of editable asset attributes.
  • Accounts and notes: GL, SL, SA and bank pages include fixes for access, account actions, note availability, fiscal year information and account status behavior.
  • Customer and invoice maintenance: Customer address validation and invoice account information have been refined to provide clearer input and more consistent editing behavior.
  • General usability: Multiple pages include corrected labels, widths, headings, popups, selectors, notifications and accessibility details.
