FAMISweb Release 1.12

Release 1.12 (available Friday, October 9, 2026) expands FAMISweb with new asset and account capabilities. This release includes the ability to create, clone and edit asset components; a new workflow for creating support accounts; and improved visibility into notes, audit information and related records. Updates across all FAMISweb sections help users complete common work with clearer guidance, easier navigation and fewer extra steps.

Be sure to read Squashed and Shipped (a.k.a. Fixes That Matter) at the end of this update for fixes and refinements included in this release.

New Pages

Asset Management

  • Asset create: Provides a guided workflow for creating asset components in FAMISweb.

Account Oversight

  • Support account (SA) create: Provides a guided workflow for creating SAs. Information from the parent subsidiary ledger (SL) account helps populate account details, and validation identifies information that must be addressed before creating the account.

Receivables

  • Suspense records: Allows you to clear iPayment suspense records.

Enhancements

Asset Management

  • Asset component editing: Asset component pages now support expanded editing for pending and approved assets. Department users and property managers can create and maintain asset component information, property controls, location and inventory details, fund sequences and other attributes seamlessly through FAMISweb.
  • Asset cloning and deletion: Authorized users can clone existing records to new asset numbers or to new components of an existing asset. They can also clone assets to another campus. Authorized users can also delete pending assets.
  • Asset information and related records: Asset pages now provide clearer displays of record details, class-related values, acquisition information, user information, notes and related records. You can also download voucher-related asset components for further review.
  • Asset search: Asset search now includes advanced filters for condition and “created FAMIS user ID,” plus more complete download information.

General Accounting and Account Oversight

  • Account notes: General ledger (GL) pages now include a notes panel that lets authorized users add, edit and delete notes while allowing other users to review available notes. Note indicators and labels provide clearer context about the account information associated with each note.
  • Audit information: GL, SL, SA and bank pages now include audit information that provides a clearer view of changes to account data. Users can review change details for the current or all fiscal years and download the displayed information.
  • SL and SA maintenance: SL and SA pages include expanded maintenance options, clearer inherited and override behavior and more consistent validation. Authorized users can make limited SL updates during a closed fiscal year; fields that are not available for update remain read-only.
  • My Accounts: My Accounts includes additional financial columns and more flexible grid views. Users can choose the information displayed; downloads include the complete set of available columns.

Receivables > Customer

  • Customer notes: Customer pages now use an updated notes panel with clearer placement and behavior. The panel makes it easier to review existing notes and, when authorized, add, edit or delete notes.
  • Customer attributes: Customer displays and validation have been refined for clearer terminology, address and contact information, alias maintenance and status information.
  • Accounts receivable invoices: Invoice pages include validation and printed-information refinements, providing clearer guidance during invoice creation and more complete information on invoice PDFs.

Payables

  • Vendor attributes: Vendor pages include clearer status information, more consistent alias validation and refinements to secure-field displays.
  • Voucher and related asset information: Voucher pages provide clearer related asset component details, including improved status descriptions, component identifiers and downloadable information. Voucher search and line-item review have also been refined for more consistent results.

Payroll

  • Payroll reporting: Payroll by UIN and Payroll Expenditures downloads include additional columns, making more information available for review outside FAMISweb.

Documents and Approvals

  • Inbox and document displays: Inbox refinement includes improved column customization and additional inbox views for payroll and asset, plus an option to view all document details.

General Improvements and Refinements

  • Search and selection: Search fields, campus selectors, type-ahead controls and dropdowns have been refined across selected pages to provide clearer results, more consistent filtering and better visibility into selected records.
  • Validation and guidance: Validation messages and required-field indicators have been updated across account, asset, customer, vendor and document workflows. Users receive clearer guidance when information is missing, invalid or not available for the selected context.
  • Grids and downloads: Grid columns, headers, widths and download files have been refined in multiple areas so information is easier to read and exported data more closely aligns with the on-screen view.
  • Navigation and access: Updated the primary navigation for users with administrative capabilities.
  • Usability and visual refinements: Selected pages include improvements to buttons, status indicators, notes panels, spacing, popups, notifications and other visual elements for a more consistent experience.

Squashed and Shipped (a.k.a. Fixes That Matter)

  • Asset component maintenance: Fixes improve field values in edit mode, building and room behavior, class and acquisition selections, fund sequence validation and display of user and property information.
  • Asset search and related records: Search criteria, campus and building selectors, result displays, links and downloaded information have been corrected for more reliable access to asset records and transactions.
  • Account maintenance: GL, SL and SA pages include fixes for permissions, input restoration, inherited values, validation and read-only behavior, including work in closed fiscal years.
  • Notes and audit information: Notes permissions, buttons and panel behavior have been refined across account and customer pages. Audit information displays and downloads include clearer change details and more consistent formatting.
  • Customer and vendor pages: Status indicators, terminology, alias validation, contact information and secure-field displays have been refined for clearer and more consistent record review.
  • Documents, inbox and TDP: Document headers, routing searches, inbox columns, TDP links and asset details have been corrected to improve navigation, readability and exports.
  • General usability: Multiple pages include corrected labels, placeholders, column widths, button behavior, selector styling, popup sizing, filter chips and accessibility details.
