This update summarizes items recently shared at the August 20, 2026, APPC meeting, including key FAMIS support activities, system updates and upcoming changes affecting processing and user support.
Year-End Processing Change
- We plan to shut down FAMIS processing at noon on the last day of the fiscal year, Thursday, September 3, 2026. FAMIS and related apps will be in inquiry-only mode during this time.
- Monday, September 7, 2026: All System Offices will be closed in observance of Labor Day.

FAMIS, Payroll and PCTs and the 3270/Screen 6 Fix
- A new Payroll Processing Manual is now available.
- PCTs will resume Tuesday, September 1, 2026, after payroll encumbrances are posted for FY2027.
- Because of how payroll posting dates line up in October, we may need to adjust the PCT lockout period by a few days.
- PCTs can still be created and approved, but they will not post until November.
- 3270/Screen 6 Fix
- A recent update inadvertently made the map code field protected when creating accounts in 3270. This bug was resolved.
- As a workaround, users could create SL accounts in FAMISweb using the SL create page or by cloning an existing SL account from the Actions menu on the SL-SA attributes page.
FAMISweb
Just launched! FAMISweb Release 1.11 was deployed overnight on August 27. Release 1.11 includes:
- Enhanced asset management.
- Improved Transfer Departmental Property (TDP) functionality.
- Enhanced account maintenance pages and validation messaging.
- Enhanced payroll reporting and export consistency.
- Navigation improvements and several bug fixes.

We will take a short break to focus on bringing TEEX into the FAMIS family, closing FY2026 and beginning FY2027. The next FAMISweb release, 1.12, will be available on Friday, October 9, 2026.
