General Announcements

Open Enrollment begins July 10!

IT Operations & Support

  • The June Monthly transactions for Save for Summer FY25 have been successfully loaded into Production. Please take a moment to spot check a few entries and notify us at support@tamus.edu if you encounter any issues. The next load will be completed on July 14.
  • The FY2026 Payroll Schedules, including the 50% Effort by Month, have been uploaded to Workday Help. The Total Working Hours for FY2026 and FY2027 is 2080 hours.

Workday Services

Release items discussed do not reflect the entire list of updates to the Workday application in the past 30 days. What is listed below are key changes the Workday Services team would like to highlight during the meeting. For the full list of release items, navigate to the Release Notes available on Workday Help.

Benefits

  • A new report, “Employees Certifying Other Medical,” is available to Benefits Partners to identify benefits eligible employees who indicated other medical coverage

Time & Absence

  • The Period Schedules now include FY2026 Payroll and Time Tracking dates

Payroll

  • Effective July 1, 2025, Workday will resume withholding Alabama state income tax on FLSA overtime wages paid to non-exempt employees, in compliance with updated tax regulations
  • Updated Reports:
    • The report, “Name Changes,” is now available to the Tax Compliance Partner

Staffing

  • New Report:
    • “Time in Position” is available to HR Partner and HR View Only roles to view employee time in primary positions
  • Updated Reports:
    • “Worker I-9 Details” is now available to the HR View Only role
    • “Employee Service Dates” now provides prompts for Effective As Of Date and Return Length of Service Calculations in Years
    • “Audit – Supervisory Organization Structure” now displays the Part Number field
    • “Audit – Supervisory Organization Structure” now includes a column for Superior Organization Name
