Certification Periods

The Texas A&M University System has decided to conduct certifications twice per year.  A critical factor in the decision to use two certification periods per year was to provide a balanced mix of summary activities with activities from the spring and fall periods.

The certification periods are:

  1. January 1 through June 30;
  2. July 1 through December 31.

All time worked in the certification period, per employee and per position, is collected into a certification document for approval by the employee or the manager.

Employees are given access to their documents 15 days after the end of a certification period and then have 45 days to complete the certification.  Documents not submitted by the end of the 45 day period are considered out of compliance.
