General Announcements

  • Our biannual Workday Release goes into production on September 20th. WD2025R2 is the second release for this year. Details will be communicated as we get closer to this date. Biannual release information is available on Workday help beginning two weeks prior to the release date.
  • Beginning September 1, Texas A&M University – Victoria (TAMUV) joins the A&M system! Onboarding was kicked off for our new employees August 4th.
  • IMPORTANT REMINDER: As part of our training efforts for TAMUV, Workday Sandbox will not be refreshed August 15th (FRIDAY).

Workday Services

Release items discussed do not reflect the entire list of updates to the Workday application in the past 30 days. What is listed below are key changes the Workday Services team would like to highlight during the meeting. For the full list of release items, navigate to the Release Notes available on Workday Help.

Benefits

  • The Benefits Partner Dashboard now displays an announcement with Open Enrollment information and links for Benefits Partners
  • Updated Reports:
    • The report, “Open Enrollment Discrepancy,” has been refined to exclude false positives
    • “Benefit Event Status Report – Pending Events,” can now be run for Open Enrollment Events in a “submitted” status
    • “Benefit Events Status Report – TAMUS,” can now be run for Open Enrollment Events in a “completed” status”

Security

  • The Compliance View Only role has been created to allow Compliance Officers access to the “Personal Travel to a Foreign-Adversary Requests” report

Time & Absence

  • Military Training/Duty and all Unpaid Time Off requests now route to the Absence Partner for approval
  • Requests for Leave of Absence and Return from Leave of Absence can no longer be initiated by Employee as Self
  • The Request Absence Time Off Categories and Time Off Types have been updated

Recruiting

  • The Post Job business process now allows Recruiting Partners to post jobs to the System-wide External Career Site
  • Managers can no longer disposition candidates from the Screen stage of the Job Application process, based on member selection

Payroll

  • Employees with a future hire date are now able to update their W-2 printing elections
  • Updated Reports:
    • The report, “Salaried Timesheet Detail with Time Off,” now returns correct Overtime Hourly Rate for salaried workers
