Workday 2022 R2 Preview
Here are the features automatically delivered by Workday in 2022 R2 and how they impact us:
User Experience
Workday Today, a new customized Home page with redesigned search adapts to you over time; continually personalizing your page to apps and tasks you use most often. New features like ‘Timely Suggestions’ reminds you of important dates, such as team member birthdays, and tracks your upcoming time off.
Tables are more accessible with increased performance. New features include the ability to view all rows on a single page, navigate directly to any page within the page range and view a total page number display.
Absence
Worker profile items originally labeled as ‘Time Off’ on the Worker are renamed to Absence. This includes navigational features such as the link within the blue left-hand navigation bar and tabs that provide access to data such as balances and requests. These are now referred to as Absence, Absence Balance and Absence Requests.
Time
Workday mobile now displays all quantities for a period within the Inbox task. Managers can view previously approved time and approved or unapproved Time Offs.
Recruiting
Questionnaires are more accessible with the ability to use rich text formatting. New features include formatting text with line breaks, spacing, bullets, font styles and more.
Candidate Home page on external career sites is redesigned to improve navigation and bring greater visibility to candidate action items and job application status. A new sidebar is now available to provide additional content for your applicants.
Performance
Employee Performance Reviews are now easier to navigate for Additional Managers and Additional Reviewers who will now experience the same interface as Managers and Employees. Additionally, Managers will now be able to see the Additional Manager’s comments onscreen directly while reviewing their Employee.
Staffing
Assign Roles business process improves performance and usability including updates to the user interface, new and updated columns, and additional drill down options.
Delegated Tasks are now defaulted to be retained in the Delegator’s Inbox
