This reference guide overviews how Open Enrollment deadlines are impacted in the summer months by common life events and staffing actions. Note: FT = Full-Time , PT = Part-Time, MO = Monthly, and BW =Bi-Weekly.

Key Points

  • Depending on the effective date of the Benefit event, Employees and Benefits Partners are required to take action when a benefit event is completed in Workday.
  • Completing Open Enrollment Elections early in Workday prevents potential payroll impacts and coverage interruptions.

Benefit Events

Staffing Changes

Changes resulting in a change in Benefit Group(e.g. Full-time to Part-time or Monthly to Bi-weekly)
