Access the Workday Mobile App for iPhone

This job aid outlines the process for an Employee to install Workday’s mobile app on an iOS mobile device and provides a brief navigation overview.

Prerequisites

The Employee has a mobile device that uses an iOS such as an iPhone or iPad.

Getting Started

Installing the Workday Mobile App

  1. On your iOS device, navigate to the App Store.The App Store Icon on a white background
  2. Search for the Workday App and select Get.The app store with the text workday searched for. The workday app displays as the first result and the get button for the app is highlighted
  3. After you have installed the Workday Mobile app, open it.

  5. Enter TAMUS into the Enter or scan your Organization ID field.A page prompting the user to enter or scan their organization ID in a below field. The text TAMUS is entered as an example.
  6. Select the right arrow at the bottom to continue.

  8. Select Submit.

Note: You will be asked to perform a multi-factor authentication with Duo. When this occurs, complete the Duo process as usual.

Navigating in Mobile

  1. On your Workday Home page, applications, announcements, and other menus will display.   2. Here, you can select the following.
    • View Profile. This provides access to your Worker Profile and related actions.
    • General. This is used to view and change global settings.
    • Login and Security. You can manage your login and security options if your organization has made it available to you.
    • Organization ID. Information on your Organization ID is provided here.The My Account page showing an example user's settings (for example, general, change preferences, and login and security)

Accessing Your Profile and Actions

  3. Several categories will display. For this example, select Personal Data.The Actions page highlighting the personal data button near the middle of the screen

  5.   6. Select Submit. A confirmation message will display.

Note: Not all information can be edited from the mobile app. If you cannot edit information, open Workday on your desktop or within your mobile device’s internet browser to complete the action.

Your Inbox Worklet on Mobile

  1. Return to the Workday Home page. Select the Inbox icon at the bottom of the screen.The Workday Home Page with the inbox highlighted at the bottom of the screen
  2. Select the Actions or Archive tab to access the corresponding Inbox items.The inbox with the archive tab selected and an example message displaying
  3. Select an item to view more details.

Note: You can see all Inbox items on mobile, but you cannot take action on every item. For items not configured for mobile, open Workday on your desktop or within your mobile device’s internet browser to take action.
