Enable High Contrast Mode

This job outlines the process for a Worker to enable high contrast mode in Workday by turning it on in Windows 10.

Important Information

These instructions are for the Windows 10 operation system. High contrast mode in Workday may not be supported for other operating systems.

Getting Started

  1. Select the Start button on your Desktop. Then select Settings.The windows button in the lower left portion of the screen is selected. The settings button (a gear icon) that appears is pointed to for emphasis.
  2. Select Ease of Access.The Windows Settings Menu. The ease of access button appears near the middle of the image and is circled for emphasis.
  3. Select High contrast on the left hand sidebar.The Ease of Access menu. The high contrast menu is pointed to for emphasis.
  4. Toggle high contrast from Off to On. You may have to wait a few moments for the changes to take effect.The Turn on High Contrast toggle button on the High Contrast window

Note: Alternatively, you can toggle high contrast On or Off using the following keyboard shortcut: left Alt + left Shift + Print Screen. When prompted, select Yes in the pop-up window.

  1. If desired, you may choose a different theme by selecting the Choose a theme drop-down menu. You can also choose specific colors for text, hyperlinks, and the background.The High Contrast window displaying the customization settings. The choose a theme field is pointed to for emphasis.
  2. All of Workday will now appear with the high contrast settings you selected.

  3. A clear visual focus will be provided if you use a keyboard.An example worker profile. The team button is given keyboard focus to display what it looks like.

This completes the Enable High Contrast Mode process for Windows 10.
