Workday Services
Release items discussed do not reflect the entire list of updates to the Workday application in the past 30 days. What is listed below are key changes the Workday Services team would like to highlight during the meeting. For the full list of release items, navigate to the Release Notes available on Workday Help.
Recruiting
- End Date and Time Left to Apply will no longer display on Job Postings
- The primary default questionnaires have been updated with an additional sponsorship question and clarifying language in the Military Employment question
- Compensation fields have been updated so hourly pay rates correctly display on offer letters and related validations work as intended
- Updated Reports:
- Hiring Matrix report updated to include Military Employment Preference
Compensation
- The Annual Hourly Plan Calculation has been set to 2080 hours for FY2025
- Budget Contacts can now edit details within the Change Default Compensation business process
- Updated Reports:
- Employee Academic Pay Settings by Organization – Base Pay and Employee Academic Pay Settings by Organization now include a prompt for Position Employee Type and a new column for Base Pay per Annual Work Period
- Budget Partner now has access to the reports Positions With Inactive Costing Allocations, Costing Allocations for Worker Position, and Costing Allocations for Position Restrictions
Payroll
- The Budget Partner approval step in the Assign Costing Allocation business process will now route based only on the proposed costing allocations
- Tax Compliance Partners now have access to see additional details within Staffing Actions, including Effective Dates, Annual Work Periods, Scheduled Hours, and Position Information
- The IRS Annual Contribution Limit for Medical Spending Accounts has increased to $3,300 for 2025
- The IRS Annual Contribution Limit (TDA+ORP) increased from $69,000 to $70,000 for Year 2025 per System Benefits Administration
- Updated Reports:
- Workers Located Out of State – Texas now has an optional prompt Include Results with State Withholding
- Off-cycle Pay Result Lines is now accessible to Tax Compliance Partners
Staffing
- Managers are no longer able to initiate the following business processes:
- End Additional Job
- Move Worker to New Manager
- Move Worker (Supervisory)
- The Manager approval step in the Hire business process is now optional based on member selection
- Upon completion of the Create Position process, a notification will be sent to the initiator based on member selection
- Workday now has two new document categories: Credential and Resignation Letter
- Updated Reports:
- The report “Job Catalog” now has a prompt to Exclude Inactive Job Profiles
