General Announcements

  • Our biannual Workday Release went into production on March 9th! WD2024R1 is the first release for this year. Details are available within the WD2024R1 release video and are also outlined on the Biannual Release page under News and Updates on Workday Help.
  • W-2, W2-C, 1042-S and 1095-C documents for tax years 2017 and earlier will be removed from HRConnect, the A&M System’s legacy human resources portal. This is to remain in compliance with the State of Texas and A&M System document retention rules.
  • Staffing Update
    • End User Support Specialist I – (Operations and Support) — interviews have concluded

Workday Services

Release items discuss do not reflect the entire list of updates to the Workday application in the past 30 days. What is listed below are points of a subset of these items that will be discussed today. For the full list of release items, navigate to the Release Notes available on Workday Help.

Absence

  • Time Off update
    • Time Off requests will no longer default hours into the request.

Recruiting

  • New Jobs Hub app
    • Employees will now use the Jobs Hub app instead of Career to apply for internal positions. You may have directions on your “how to apply” websites that need to be updated

Talent

  • Feedback Badges
    • New badges are available:  Respect, Excellence, Leadership, Loyalty, Integrity, and Selfless Service
  • Performance Reviews
    • Reminder:  please notify us two weeks in advance for requests to launch performance reviews. If additional changes are needed to your current performance reviews, please notify us as soon as possible as this will require additional time

Benefits

  • Postdoctoral Fellow ID
    • Benefits Partners must add the Postdoctoral Fellow ID to allow eligible Postdoc Fellow Employees to enroll in benefits and be properly billed
  • Academic Health Plan
    • Employees can now enroll in the Academic Health Plan plan if at least one of their jobs is a Graduate Student position
  • Benefits and Pay App
    • A new Benefits and Pay app will automatically replace the existing Benefits app on the Employee’s Workday menu. This new app combines features of the existing Benefits app with features of the existing Pay app as well as compensation details. Note: The Pay app has not been removed from the Workday menu.

ITSS Operations

  • SSN Quarterly State Verification
    • Member files are available for review in File Depot for the February 29th file run

Staffing

  • Guardian I-9
    • Document Capture is now enabled in Guardian I-9
  • Flexible Work Arrangements
    • Pre-Employee-As-Self can now complete assigned tasks in the Flexible Work Arrangement business process
  • Graduate Assistant Job Profiles
      • Create position now limits the use of Graduate Assistant Job Profiles based on member selection
