Workday Functional Areas
Benefits
- The 12 over 9 custom ID for FY2024 has been set for eligible Employees
- Open Enrollment is available for all eligible Employees and Retirees
- The Evidence of Insurability (EOI) To Do step to the Employee will have a 1 day delay during Open Enrollment to allow increased processing time for The Hartford
Payroll
- The ability to print multiple pay slips at once is now available for Employees
- Verification for SSN quarterly review is available in File Depot for the May 31st file run
- The Save for Summer Monthly transactions for July have been loaded to Production
Recruiting
- Offer letters are now being generated through Workday Docs. The Job Application job aid has been updated to reflect the new process
Staffing
- Flexible Work Arrangement subtypes are now only visible and selectable based on member selection, e.g. HR Partners are now the only group that can see Workplace Accommodation
- A newly contracted Contingent Worker will receive the personal information step in Onboarding based on member selection
- Cancelation of the To Do: Employee Certification of Return of Data and Information. This step to the Employee in the Termination business process (BP) will be cancelled after 60 days on a biweekly basis.
- Members can now record Driver’s License using the Edit Government IDs BP
- Updated Report: Employees with Duplicate Government IDs — Now includes Driver’s Licenses

- 2114602 : Workday Hiring Series – Part 1: Preparing for the Hire This course overviews the process of preparing for hiring an employee in Workday.
- Topics include Preparing for the Hire, New Hires vs Rehires, Pre-hire Records, Pre-hire Scenarios, What is a UIN? and UIN Scenarios. This content is provided by IT Training & Development, a department of The Texas A&M University System Office. Please reach out to your local Human Resources office for any member specific processes not covered in this course. This course is part 1 of a four-part series. It is recommended to complete each course in order. Parts 2, 3, and 4 are scheduled for summer 2023.

2114109 : Working in Workday for Employees
This course is designed to introduce the Workday application to Employees within the Texas A&M University System. Topics covered include:
- Define and use common Workday Vocabulary
- Navigate and update their Worker Profile
- Manage Inbox Items in the My Tasks Profile
- View their payslip and update pay elections
- Use the Time application to enter time
- Use the Time Off application to request time off
- Initiate a change to benefits
- Locate helpful job aids for common tasks completed in Workday
This is not a required course but highly recommended for new Employees who will use Workday to manage their human resources, payroll and benefits needs. The course should take between 45mins to 1hr to complete. This course is developed by Workday Services, a department within the A&M System Office of Information Technology

- New Course! HCM Core Concepts – in development. This course is targeted for anyone who has a security role. Describes the fundamentals of Workday from the perspective of HR, Payroll and Benefits personnel as they support employees.
