General Announcements

  • Workday Journeys – We’re excited to launch Workday Journeys!
    • A Workday Journey delivers guided, personalized experiences that simplify key employee lifecycle moments, such as onboarding, promotions, transfers, and other transitions. Employees receive step-by-step guidance, relevant recommendations, and helpful resources all in one place
    • Employees can add the Journeys app to their Workday Menu to view assigned Journeys and self-assign others for development and career growth. Managers can track their team’s progress and view any Journeys in which they are enrolled
    • The Onboarding Journey is automatically assigned to new employees on their hire date
    • Up Next! Open Enrollment Journey

Workday Services

Release items discussed do not reflect the entire list of updates to the Workday application in the past 30 days. What is listed below are key changes the Workday Services team would like to highlight during the meeting. For the full list of release items, navigate to the Release Notes available on Workday Help.

Benefits

  • Summer Benefits Deductions – It’s that time again!
    • Benefits Partners should be running the Employee Letters for Summer Deductions report and adding the B, D & T values for employees who will not participate in 4 Mos in May.
    • Check out our webinar recording and PowerPoint for helpful guidance
    • IMPORTANT: On April 14, the Workday Services office will add the “P” custom ID value for everyone on the report who doesn’t have another value already added
  • The Personal Benefits Summary letters for Retirees and Survivors will now include premium information
  • The “TRS Annuity Letter” has been renamed “TRS Notification Letter” to better align with the letter’s content
  • Reports:
    • A new report, “12 over 9 Eligibility List,” is available to Benefits Partners to determine who should be in the 12 over 9 program for the upcoming year. This report should be run and reviewed in June, then submitted to Workday Operations as in years past

Compensation & Merit

  • Compensation business processes now have a modernized user interface
  • A new Annual Work Period, “2 Month (January 1 – February 28),” is now available

Staffing

  • The Journeys app is now available on the Workday menu for active Employees
  • Change Job events can no longer be corrected by HR Partners
  • Updated Reports:
    • The report, “Inbound/Outbound History,” now includes terminated workers
    • A new report, “Positions Created or Closed in Range,” is available to Budget Partner, Executive Approver, HR Partner and HR View Only roles to return completed Create Position and Close Position events in a selected date range
