Marking and Completing a Section
When a Section has taken place, attendance will need to be recorded for the course section on the Roster.
From the Sections screen, locate the desired section that has taken place by entering information into the search fields and clicking the Search button.
Click on the section name to open it, then click the Roster tab. The list of section participants should be displayed.
- To mark attendance, select the small box beside the employee’s name. A check mark will appear when selected.
- At the bottom of the screen, select the Attendance Status for the employees selected with a check mark. Employees may be marked as Complete, Enrolled, Incomplete, or No Show. Only one type of attendance status may be entered at a time.
- When the correct Attendance Status is selected, click on the blue Update Selected For Completed status, you may select a completion date. The system will default to the end course date.
- The screen will change to display the employees in the selected Attendance Status. To mark a different Attendance Status, you will need to change the Filter results by: Status option back to Enrolled.
- Continue to update the attendance roster repeating steps 1 through 4 for each type of attendance status for the section.
Notes:
- Once attendance is marked for the section, the course files will no longer be accessible to employees to download.
- Evaluations for the section will not be sent until the attendance has been marked for the employee.
- If fees are charged for the course, the fee may be waived by selecting the blue highlighted Fee on the right side of the employee information line.
When you have completed updating the Attendance Status, the section will need to be marked complete. Once a section is marked complete, attendance for the course may not be changed and course fees may not be waived. It is important to make sure any changes to attendance or fee charge have been made before marking the section complete.
