Release 3.1.x Notes

Following are the feature changes that occurred in the 3.1 version (including 3.1.1 to 3.1.4)

Major Feature Enhancements

  1. Registrar Role – Evaluation Introduction for Sections (in-class courses) available including multiple choice
  2. Registrar Role – Evaluation Reports available for Instructors
  3. Registrar Role – Instructors are a sub-set of Employees, created and maintained by Node/Adloc
  4. Registrar Role – With addition of adding a Contact Type: NodeAdloc Email, a Node/Adloc can be CC’ed for all Section Related e-mails going to users
  5. Registrar Role – Fee Structure now shows any Courses that it has been attached to
  6. Registrar Role – Billing Report
  7. Registrar Role – Bug: Fixed – all transcript records now show up for employee
  8. Sections Meeting Dates/Times can now be exported to Outlook (or any .ics client)
  9. Assignment management now shows updates to any change dates of those assignment dates on Log file for that employee
  10. Management of “Upload Completions” can now be viewed and removed (if mistakes made) for a small period of time
  11. Management of “Upload Completions” – admins can now upload Task completions (not just courses)
  12. Management of Groups – you can now excel dump the entire group, and shows last modified by and last modified when
  13. New System-Course-Catalog report available for SysAdmin and Training Admins
  14. Management of Assignment Rules – now has excel dump
  15. All Course Types can now have a “Node/Adloc” owner
  16. Users can change/edit Payment Options (for Account information) on sections
  17. TrainTraq Support tab – now uses the Contact(s) database in order to determine who to send support e-mails to (instead of Dept/Workstation admins)
  18. Dept Node Registrar/Instructors: New course evaluation report tab for each course to summarize evaluations
  19. Employees can change their waitlist to auto-enroll (toggle back and forth) if the section is auto-enrolled enabled
  20. Dept Node Registrar/Instructors: Can now send Announcements to Waitlist or any Status of employees on Roster
  21. For transcripts, it now uses the Section End Date (instead of completion date) for in-class completions
  22. Dept Node Registrar: Evaluations now have the capability of multiple-choice questions/answers
  23. Dept Node Registrar/Admins: Announcements, Reminder Email and Registration Email now has ability to use HTML WYSIWYG
  24. Admins: Titlecode can now be used in the Assignment engine

Minor Feature Enhancements

  1. Registrar Role – Clone Section feature now available on Section Details
  2. Added spacing in the e-mails sent for Section Announcement
  3. Bug: Fixed bug when editing Programs where screen pops up
  4. Bug: Fixed assignment doesn’t go away if completion already exists for same day
  5. Fixed issue where report viewer going over footer
  6. Assignment Rules setup now has larger viewing area
  7. TAMUS Branding of Seal/Colors
  8. Registrar Role: Roster sort order fixed to Last Name, First Name
  9. Minor changes to enhance Admin Roles….
  10. Section: Allow employees to get on a specific section waitlist if they were already on the course waitlist
  11. Dept Node Registrars: Can enroll employees on multiple sections of the same course (only that role – not employee)
  12. Dept Node Registrars: Meeting Date/Time pop-up “smart” and fills in appropriate AM/PM
  13. Admin: Report – SystemCourseCatalog now has the Audit Create Date and Last Modified By fields
  14. Dept Node Registrars: the Employee/Supervisor Popup, now puts the current title description as well as phone/email
  15. For all roles: Classroom/Sections now sorted by nearest date time first and then start date
  16. Allow employees to waitlist/register fr same course (different sections)
  17. Section Class Ends now shows the very last meeting date/time
  18. Upcoming Sections tab now has a button to register for a section
  19. Emails sent to employees about seats available now have a direct link to Registration of Section page
  20. Dept Node Registrar: When printing a Section Roster (pdf), it now uses the Roster Filter on the current Roster page
  21. Dept Node Registrars now have an option to add themselves to the Contact Database to avoid the REPLY-TO on some e-mails from “TrainTraq Messenger” and use their own
  22. Admins: Editing Employee Groups, it now shows you Last Updated By/Last Updated When
  23. Completion/Cancellation e-mail text changed
  24. Training Admins now have Utilities -> Directory Info
  25. External Gateway: Now uses the Workstation drop-down
  26. Allow employees to get on a specific Section/Class waitlist if they were already on the Course waitlist
  27. E-mail formatting changes for lots of system generated e-mails
  28. Admin Roles -> Utilities -> Directory Info now links to the Employee page; Now shows the entire workstation name (instead of code)
  29. Other minor enhancements

Bug Fixes

  • Irregular javascript error for manual assignment – sometimes erroneously saying “..took course in last 30 days”. Fixed.
  • Private course not allowing employee to view – even in own workstation. Fixed.
  • Admin: Batch Completion UNDO would allow any user to undo batch. Fixed. Now, only uploader can undo (or System Admin)
  • Admin: Section Clone – the meeting dates/times would not clone correctly. Fixed.
  • Instructors: Allow instructors to see all sections (including completed/closed) – it was just current sections. Fixed.
  • Section evaluations were getting submitted even if not selected. Fixed.
  • Training admin: Could not see Notifications Tabs for other workstation courses. Fixed.
  • Section – reserved seating not working. Fixed.
  • ExternalGateway users, if logged into SSO, would get an error. Fixed.
  • Email PDF on transcript not working. Fixed.
  • Admin: Dept Node Registrar would get an error for no select fee structure. Fixed.
  • Section – outlook calendar may have HTML characters causing error on import. Fixed.
  • Admin: Section Billing report would show error on end date. Fixed.
  • Admin/Instructors: Roster would have extra blank page. Fixed.
  • Admin (Training/System): Action log – course name will only allow you to enter 9 characters. Fixed.
  • In-classroom Sections now REQUIRE a course category
  • Bug: Admin roles: When adding Workstations/Adlocs to Assignment Rules, the entire Workstation/Adloc list disappears
  • Bug: Private link for Sections not working
  • Bug: Payment for Sections – do not allow employees to delete any payments used for future classes; employees must have at least one payment method on file
  • Bug: History Tab for Employees would sometimes how more information than needed
  • Bug: Instructor Role would disappear after all Sections were completed
  • Bug: SysAdmin/TrnAdmin role: sometimes, users could not edit notification the first time they clicked into the text box
  • Bug: Section “Completion” dates need to insure they have the correct date, as Section End Date, throughout application
  • Report: Training Dept Registrar Role – Section Stats report – class hours were pulling from CPE instead of CEU
  • Report: Training Dept Registrar Role – Billing Report is wrong – pulling wrong grouping of data
  • Report: System Participation by Workstation – not pulling everyone
  • Course Catalog Tab – the Category drop-down not sorted correctly
  • Bug: Registrar Role – if changing from Auto-Enroll YES to NO, insure that the waitlist employees are updated as well to auto-enroll = no
  • Bug: Registrar Role – class notes could only take .zip files on server, but would allow user to upload all types (then save on server incorrectly as .zip file)
  • Bug: Fixed new employee assignment for Workstation L, M, G – ISA is now 1 year and all others 2 years
  • Bug: Fixed – SCORM not always recording grade of 100% for master tests
  • Bug: Fixed – Sometimes, SCORM files would not Move To Production
  • Bug: Fixed Manual Assignment email notification (fixed for Faculty and Staff)
  • Bug: Fixed Notification e-mail was missing Contact Email information
  • Bug: All Admin roles fixed – Transcripts report, the filter was doubling up and getting larger and larger
  • Bug: Reserved link will not allow person to register while others are on waitlist
  • Bug: If you have a Location then deactive location, the course errors: when viewing the course
  • Bug: Billing Report – you have to sometimes hit the view report twice (sometimes)
  • Bug: CC supervisor still not working
