Release 3.0 Notes

Following are the feature changes that occurred in the 3.0 version

Major Feature Enhancements

  1. Classroom (called Sections) Management Introduced – including Roster management and Waitlisting
  2. Major UI improvements for Employee
  3. New SCORM engine version
  4. Internal:  New “engine” (.net 4.0) for framework
  5. Internal:  New application server
  6. New Role:  Dept Node Registrar added – to manage the classroom (Sections)
  7. New Role: Instructor – given to anyone assigned as instructor for Sections
  8. New Public Course site created: (currently): http://traintraq.tamus.edu/Public/ (This site is no longer available, 5/24/22)

Minor Feature Enhancements

  1. SCORM fixes – including some issues where SCORM not recording completions 100%
  2. Emergency Notification System introduced and programmed
  3. Conversion of all reports to RDL (from RDLC)
  4. New Course Type introduced:  In-Classroom (Legacy) – for all of the old and not converted class room type training
  5. Minor bugs fixed
