Home / FAQs / Why does an employee’s “% for the Month” value not equal the percentage of gross pay (s)he was paid on an account?

Why does an employee’s “% for the Month” value not equal the percentage of gross pay (s)he was paid on an account?

Time & Effort displays many of its percentages as full-time equivalency (FTE) percentages, including those shown on the Employee Account Details screen.

For example, consider a simple case:

  • An employee makes $20,000/month when working full time
  • She has an 11.5 month term with August being the half month
  • In August, she is paid 60% from Account A and 40% from account B

Time & Effort will display 30% in the “% for the Month” column on the Employee Account Details screen for August for Account A because it computes the amount as the FTE percentage.

See The percentages on my time and effort report aren’t correct. What causes this? for more information.
