The percentages on my time and effort report aren’t correct. What causes this?

Check for pay rate, percent effort, and account distribution changes during the certification period. Account percentage calculations are based on Units, a salaried employee’s full-time equivalent (FTE) percentage. For hourly employees, the Units are hours worked.

If an employee’s pay does not change during the six-month reporting period, percentages computed for an account are straight forward.

However, if the employee’s pay and/or account distribution change during the certification period, then the Units calculation effectively becomes a weighted average of each month in the certification period. When aggregated for the certification document’s account percentages, this will not match a simple distribution.
