A software upgrade for BusinessObjects is scheduled for Sunday, June 25th, 2023. The new patch will provide security and file delivery improvements.
How this will impact BusinessObjects users:
- There will be an outage on June 25th between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM.
- When you log-in after the upgrade, you will see a new data protection message. This displays by default as part of the SAP BusinessObjects application, and is simply reminding you to be careful about the information in reports that you save in shared BusinessObjects folders.
- The default header color is now light grey, rather than blue. This is good news for many BusinessObjects report writers who found that the blue color made it difficult to know which header cells are selected as they format a report.
Existing reports created prior to 6/25 will not be affected by this change, however when you start a new report, you’ll see grey headers on your table. These can be changed using the Formatting > Style tab. If you miss the blue, the RGB is (11, 100, 160).
