Workday Refresh on the Employee Status screen
Administrators who can reset passwords now see a “Workday Refresh” button in the Employee Details section of the Employee Status screen, just below the Work Phone field. Clicking it asks Workday for the latest data on that employee and updates the employee’s worker record in SSO. A blue confirmation message, “Worker refresh successful!”, appears when the refresh works. If it fails, a yellow message says “Worker refresh failed. Contact TAMUS Support.” and the details are logged for the support team. The button appears only for employees, not for affiliates.
UIN login override is now System Administrator only
Central and Department Administrators no longer see the “Override UIN Login Rule” button on the Employee Status screen. The UIN login override is now managed only by the System Administration role, from the Utilities page. The Employee Status screen still shows whether the override is on or off for the selected user, but it can’t be changed there. The Lock/Unlock Account, Validate Last Name On Login, and ID.me Login Override functions are unchanged.
Consistent ID.me wording
ID.me is now spelled “ID.me” in all button labels, status labels and confirmation messages. Previously the screens mixed “IdMe”, “ID.Me” and “ID.me”. The ID.me tooltip text was also reworded for clarity.
New Functions for System Administrators
New “Login Overrides” tab
The Utilities page has a new “Login Overrides” tab. A System Administrator enters a user’s 9-digit UIN and clicks Lookup. The tab shows the user’s name and whether the UIN login and ID.me login overrides are currently on. From the same tab, the administrator can:
- enable or remove the UIN login override
- enable or remove the ID.me login override
- send the user the ID.me introductory email
New “Rescind User” tool
The Utilities page has a new “Rescind User” tab, available to System Administrators only. The administrator enters a UIN and clicks Lookup. The tab shows the worker’s details and SSO account status. The Rescind button appears only if an SSO account exists for that UIN.
Rescinding does the following:
- updates the worker record if one exists
- removes the SSO user account
- confirms the account was removed
- shows the worker’s updated status and a final status message
