The Contact Database was designed to become your one-stop-shop for all your workstation contact data.
It is a listing of different contact types used by various SSO applications. Each contact type is created by an SSO System Administrator and is customized specifically to the application or system that will “consume” the contact data.
Some different examples of implementations of contact types include:
- Workstation contact information (address, phone, email, website, etc.) for generating letterhead
- Email distributions lists for support functions, error notifications, report distributions, etc.
- Dynamic verbiage in employee notification letters
- Reply-To email addresses for notifications sent to application users
Depending on each contact type’s intended use, it will be used on a Global, Workstation, Division/College, or ADLOC level. Each contact type will contain one or more contacts for each Workstation/ADLOC/etc. according to its usage.
The Contact Admin will maintain the all the contact data for the workstation(s) they access. View the Contact Type List page to see your contacts. Learn more about editing contact data in the Edit Contact Data section.
