TAMUS has see this error in two cases:
Case 1: Incorrect data in BPP. Even though the employee was in the first 90 days of employment, the deduction entered in the payroll system was for a regular TRS deduction.
Case 2: TAMUS has also seen this error when an ORP employee was coded as being TRS eligible. TRS Team was confused and believed a TRS90 deduction was due.

Work around
Case 1: Several steps may be need:
- Correct the data in TRS Team to allow the entry post. Classify the item correctly based on the employee’s situation. Deletion of the item may also be an option.
- Correct the data in BPP.
- On the next months TRS report, you may/will have to correct the data on the TRS reports again to offset the entry the was previously corrected.
Case 2: You may need to correct the TRS Team position record ED40 / ED45 to ensure the employee is properly classified as TRS vs. ORP.
