TRS published new guidance in their December 2018 update about the final report month. The final report month is a data element on the ED90 (employee termination) report. TRS no longer requires this value for employees who do not participate in TRS (e.g. and temporary casual worker, or an ORP participant).
A&M System IT will continue to include this month value on the ED90 reporting file. This will create a warning in the TRS Team portal. Per TRS:
If the Final Report Month field is reported on the ED90 Termination record for an employee who has never been eligible for TRS contributions, the system will accept the information but will generate a warning message.
