This release allows A&M System Member SSO Administrators to choose how their employees login to SSO.
This new feature has multiple benefits including:
- Reduces the number of credentials that employees must manage to access business applications like Workday, FAMIS, Concur, AggieBuy, and more
- Better protects employees’ private information
- Improves cybersecurity posture
- Improves operational efficiency
- Reduces operational costs
Who Is Impacted?
Beginning 11/1/2024, A&M System Offices employees will no longer login to SSO using their UIN. Instead, they will use their A&M System Offices, RELLIS, or Cybersecurity credentials to log in to SSO. This change will not impact:
- Employee access to business applications like Workday, FAMIS, Concur, etc.
- Employee SSO menu items
If you are not an A&M System Offices employee, contact your Central SSO Administrator to learn if this release impacts you.
When Will Other Universities/Agencies Make This Change?
A&M System Members are not required to make this change. However, Member leadership can implement this feature at any time. Contact your Central SSO Administrator to learn if this release impacts you.
What if an Employee Isn’t Covered by Another Identity Provider?
If an employee is not covered by another identity provider, their respective SSO Central Administrator can enable UIN credentials on a case-by-case basis.
