Is Two-Factor Authentication required in SSO?

Starting August 1st of 2021,all active SSO users, retirees, and surviving dependents will be required to sign in to SSO using Duo two factor authentication. This includes:

  • Active employees
  • Working retirees
  • Graduate Fellows
  • Employees on Leave
  • Contingent workers
  • Military leave dependents
  • Vendors, visitors, and other affiliated persons
  • Non-working retirees
  • Surviving dependents of employees
  • All other users not specifically exempted

Now is a good time to enroll in and get familiar with the process. See https://it.tamus.edu/sso/two-factor-authentication-in-sso/ for more details.
