The Digital Accessibility Center collaborates with multiple Governance groups under The Texas A&M University System IT Governance Framework.
Digital Accessibility Council
Provides electronic information and services through multiple ways so that communication is not contingent on a single sense or ability. Digital accessibility is a responsibility shared by Texas state agencies and institutions of higher education.
The Digital Accessibility Council operates in accordance with The Texas A&M University System rules and regulations.
The primary purpose of the Digital Accessibility Council is to collaborate and communicate in the following areas with respect to Digital Accessibility:
- Guidance and consultation
- Addressing compliance initiatives
- Strategic planning
- Providing status updates to respective leadership
- Awareness and training
In addition, the Digital Accessibility Council serves as an advisory body to the A&M System IT Governance councils, working groups, committees and other entities as appropriate.
CATIE
Council on Academic Technology and Innovative Education (CATIE)
Provides collaborative strategic direction, guidance, recommendations on technology-enriched teaching, learning and assessment initiatives.
