FAQ: What is an Earning Code?

Earning codes are an important method of categorizing payroll data in Workday, FAMIS, the Enterprise Data Warehouse, Time & Effort, and other A&M System enterprise HR/payroll applications and reporting.

Examples include:

  • RPS – Regular pay salary
  • 018 – Teaching in Excess of 100%
  • and many others
