State agencies and institutions of higher education are required to verify vendor hold status for purchases over $500 to comply with the state’s warrant hold statutes, Texas Government Code, Sections 403.055, 2107.008 and 2252.903. Additionally, some A&M System members may have additional requirements for doing so.
