User Experience
Workday Today — New personalized Home page with redesigned search functionality that improves navigation with cards and suggested tasks
- Available to all active Workday users on 9/10/2022
- Automated email from Workday will communicate this update to workday user across the system beginning late August
- Communications will include a video preparing users for expected changes to the Home page experience
- Workday Navigation webinar highlighting Workday Today features will be provided to partner and departmental level security roles in September
Workday Functional Areas
Merit
- Eight members have launched merit in Workday and are entering/reviewing awards. Awards for these members are effective 9/1/2022
- Merit Partners have access to a Merit Dashboard in Workday that provides a list of tasks and reports to be used
- Merit Partners should run the In Progress Merit Review Process – Most Recent report every day to see the latest award amounts

Payroll
- New Earning Code — A new earning code On Call – Waiting to be Engaged is now available for use
- Update Eligibility for Earning Codes — The earning codes listed can be used irrespective of the academic pay period

Absence
- Separate Comp Time Banked ID for Federal and State Compensatory Time and updated time tracking calculations — State Comp Time Banked ID was added and time calculations updated so system members can control separately whether federal and state overtime hours pay or bank
Staffing
- Critical warning added for Working Surviving Dependent Other ID — An error will now appear when an invalid Working Surviving Dependent Other ID value is added
- Visual Survey Functionality — Visual Survey for Race/Ethnicity is now available in Personal Information Change business process for HR Partner use
Reporting
New Reports
- Family Pool Balance — Returns taxable and non-taxable donations, usages, and balances
- Employee Missing Race, Ethnicity or Gender Selection — Returns employees without a Race/Ethnicity selection or selected Declined to Specify, or without a Gender selection
- Vacant Positions with Role Assignments — Designed for security partners to allow reporting on vacant positions with existing security role assignments
Updated Reports
- View W-2 Form Data — Now includes personal email address
- Worker Directory by Location — Now shared with most security roles; see Commonly Used Reports on Workday Help for specifics
- Location Directory — Now shared with I-9 Partner and Talent Partner View Only
- Audit – TRS Max Wage Limit — Updated Limits for FY2023
- Audit – ORP Max Wage Limit — Updated Limits for FY2023
- Employee Letters for Summer Deductions — Now includes a flag when the SGIP date driver issued date for the employee is in the future
- Employee Veteran Status — Now includes the field and prompt for Full-Time or Part-Time on the primary position
