Working in Workday for Employees
This course is designed to introduce the Workday application to Employees within the Texas A&M University System. Topics covered include:

This is not a required course but highly recommended for new Employees who will use Workday to manage their human resources, payroll and benefits needs. Additional help can be found in our list of Employee Common Tasks job aids.
Working in Workday for Managers
This course is designed to introduce the Workday application to Managers within the Texas A&M University System. Topics covered include:

- Workday Help
This is not a required course but highly recommended for new Managers who will use Workday to manage those they supervise. It is advisable that you take Working in Workday for Employees prior to completing this course. Additional help can be found in our list of Manager Common Tasks job aids.
Guardian I-9 Administrator Training
Effective 09/01/2019 each member will be allowed to have two individuals set up with Administrator permissions in the Guardian I-9 system and the individuals must complete training on administrator functions in order to be granted and retain the Administrator permissions in Guardian I-9.
This Guardian I-9 Administrator training provides information on the use, assignment and duties of individuals given administrator privileges in the Guardian I-9 System. Users should already be knowledgeable about Form I-9 and E-Verify compliance.
Workday Hiring Series – Part 1: Preparing for the Hire
This course overviews the process of preparing for hiring an employee in Workday. Topics include Preparing for the Hire, New Hires vs Rehires, Pre-hire Records, Pre-hire Scenarios, What is a UIN? and UIN Scenarios. This content is provided by IT Training & Development, a department of The Texas A&M University System Office. Please reach out to your local Human Resources office for any member specific processes not covered in this course. This course is part 1 of a four-part series. It is recommended to complete each course in order. Parts 2, 3, and 4 are scheduled for summer 2023.
Workday Hiring Series – Part 2: Hiring Employees
This course overviews the Hire business process from beginning to end. Topics will include understanding how to appropriately complete details of the Hire such as Annual Work Period and Disbursement Period; Job Classifications and Costing Allocations; and Compensation. We will also cover best practices to avoid common pitfalls and troubleshooting. This content is provided by IT Training & Development, a department of The Texas A&M University System Office. Please reach out to your local Human Resources office for any member specific processes not covered in this course. This course is part 2 of a four-part series. It is recommended to complete each course in order. Parts 3, and 4 are scheduled for summer 2023.

This course overviews the Onboarding process of the Hire business process. Topics will include identifying critical pieces of the Onboarding process, Benefit Elections, monitoring Onboarding and Benefit events, and recognize common Onboarding woes and apply recommended remediation. Workday Core Concepts for Security Roles
The purpose of this course is to provide you with an introduction to Workday from the perspective of an HR, Payroll, and Benefits professional who supports Employees and Retirees. You will learn fundamental Workday principles and basic navigation used to complete tasks and run reports that are central to supporting the organizations for which you are responsible. Navigate to relevant areas within Workday to complete daily tasks required of Workday Security Roles
Apply filters to the My Tasks Inbox to search for specific items that need attention.
Explain the different options available for taking action on an Inbox Item from the Gear menu.
Recall how to navigate and use Worker History and Business Process History to find information and take action when needed.
Identify the Related Actions menu and where it can be found within Workday.
Identify key areas of the Worker Profile and Supervisory Organization needed to complete a task.
Set up shortcuts and Favorites to simplify the Workday navigation.

Workday Staffing Part 1
This course is designed to give you an overview of Staffing, associated business processes, and to provide context for their functions. Learners will be guided through the content by an experienced HR Business Partner, Cory. Questions for comprehension will also be integrated into the lesson for critical knowledge. Some of the topics that will be covered in this course include defining position restrictions and how they relate to a position, describing how Job Profiles build the framework for a position, recalling the two worker types used for positions and possible sub types, appropriately searching for a Pre-Hire Record, defining Workday New Hire versus Rehire for the A&M System, creating a new staff position, initiating the Hire business process, recalling the various ways HR Contacts and HR Partners support Employees as they complete the onboarding process in Workday, identifying helpful reports related to Workday Staffing. This is the first part of a two part series.
Workday Staffing Part 2
This course is designed to give you an overview of Staffing, associated business processes, and to provide context for their functions. Learners will be guided through the content by an experienced HR Business Partner. Questions for comprehension will also be integrated into the lesson for critical knowledge. Some of the topics that will be covered include moving workers to different supervisory organizations, defining an additional job and initiate the business process for a Worker, recalling the processes used to switch a Worker’s primary job and end an additional job, differentiating between a Change Job Data change and a Change Job Position change, initiating a compensation change or one-time payment for an Employee, completing the Change job business process, and initiating a termination event and recall the necessary steps that must be completed that considers impacts to a department’s budget. This is the second part of a two part series.
