Internet Explorer 9 (IE9) is Microsoft’s newest web browser. In some cases, people using IE9 are getting stuck when launching the newer courses in the SCORM Player window. When a user is stuck, the screen looks like Figure 1 below. To resolve this issue, the user should enable Internet Explorer 7 (IE7) compatibility mode by clicking the “torn page” icon on the right side of the address bar, as indicated in Figure 2. After IE7 compatibility mode has been enabled, the icon will appear as shown in Figure 3 and SCORM courses should launch correctly. Return to the course, and select Start Course.
