<a title=\"Application Security Officers for SSO Web Applications \u2013 FUTURE\" href=\"\/sso\/application-security-officers\/\">Application Security Officer(s)<\/a> and <a title=\"Application Role Reviewers for SSO Web Applications FUTURE\" href=\"\/sso\/application-role-reviewers\/\">Application Role Reviewer(s)<\/a> reminding them to perform this required security review.\u00a0 This review should be finished by the 10th of the month.\u00a0 On the 11th day of the review period, the System-wide SSO Member-level Role Verification Report will be sent to the Application Owner and the System Chief Information Security Officer(s).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Consequences for Missing or Incomplete Reviews<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Missing reviews may lead to the loss of administrative role authorizations for the member institution&#8217;s \u00a0ASOs, ARRs, and\/or administrative role holders at the institution.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Additional Documentation\u00a0 (needs removed or updated)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For a visual description of the role review process, <a href=\"https:\/\/assets.system.tamus.edu\/esi\/sso\/rolereviewprocess\/SSOAccessReviewProcess-effective-Jan-2021.pdf\">view the Security Review Process flowchart<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Role Review Process Details<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Following is a suggested procedure for this process:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Log in to <a href=\"https:\/\/sso.tamus.edu\">https:\/\/sso.tamus.edu<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Perform a review to ensure that every application within your assigned review domain is accessible to only those employees which still require access by performing the following steps:\n<ol style=\"list-style-type: lower-alpha\">\n<li>Click on the\u00a0<strong>Cent Admin\u00a0<\/strong>button in the upper right.<\/li>\n<li>On the Cent Admin home page, choose the\u00a0<strong>Reports\u00a0<\/strong>tab<\/li>\n<li>Generate and review the following four reports:\n<ol style=\"list-style-type: lower-roman\">\n<li style=\"text-align: left\"><em>Roles by Application\u00a0\u00a0<\/em>(<a href=\"https:\/\/it.tamus.edu\/sso\/help-system\/key-concepts\/administrator-navigation\/reports\/roles-by-application\/\">Click here to learn more about this report<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\"><em>Employees with SSO Roles<\/em>\u00a0 (<a href=\"https:\/\/it.tamus.edu\/sso\/help-system\/key-concepts\/administrator-navigation\/reports\/employees-with-sso-roles\/\">Click here to learn more about this report<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\"><em>Employee Monthly Position Changes<\/em>\u00a0 (<a href=\"https:\/\/it.tamus.edu\/sso\/help-system\/key-concepts\/administrator-navigation\/reports\/employee-monthly-position-changes\/\">Click here to learn more about this report<\/a>)<br \/>\n(For\u00a0<em>Departmental\u00a0<\/em>reviews, set the time period to 6 months;<br \/>\nFor\u00a0<em>System\u00a0<\/em>reviews, set the time period to 3 months)<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\"><em>\u00a0<\/em>If responsible for Guardian I9 reviews, review the Guardian User List spreadsheet as supplied by the Workday Services Team.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>Review the reports to ensure that access is granted to only authorized employees.\u00a0 Remove access as necessary.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>Document that you have performed the review in Step #2 above:\n<ol style=\"list-style-type: lower-alpha\">\n<li>Navigate to the <a href=\"https:\/\/tamus.quickbase.com\/db\/bqbp5i6vi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">SSO Role Review application<\/a>.\u00a0 You should see the\u00a0<em>Welcome Role Reviewer!\u00a0<\/em>greeting.<\/li>\n<li>As instructed on that page, click <strong>Add New Role Review Record<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Fill out the record:\n<ol style=\"list-style-type: lower-roman\">\n<li>Review Date: Typically the current date<\/li>\n<li>Review Type:\u00a0 Select a review type that matches the scope of your review; if you are responsible for particular\u00a0<em>Adlocs<\/em>, select\u00a0<em>Departmental Roles;\u00a0<\/em>if responsible for an entire system member, select\u00a0<em>Member Roles; <\/em>for those few that have access to all system members, select\u00a0<em>Global Roles.\u00a0<\/em>If you have more than one scope, you will have to repeat this process for each scope.<\/li>\n<li>In the\u00a0<em>Applications<\/em> field, select the one or more applications for which you are responsible and have reviewed.<\/li>\n<li>In the\u00a0<em>Workstations\u00a0<\/em>field, select the one or more workstations for which you are responsible.<\/li>\n<li><em>Comments\u00a0<\/em>are optional.<\/li>\n<li>Select the green\u00a0<em>Save &amp; It also includes information about the employee&#8217;s current and previous position.<\/p>\n<p>Tip: If this report is going to be downloaded and filtered\/sorted, save it as \u00a0CSV (comma delimited) format. This strips out the formatting and titles.<\/p>\n<p>Here are the parameters used for this report.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Application &#8211; <\/strong>Lists the applications whose roles are managed in SSO\n<ul>\n<li>Some applications are unique to a specific department and may not be relevant to all users. (System Real Estate, for example)<\/li>\n<li>Not all system applications are available because their security is handled outside of SSO. (Maestro, Guardian, Emburse Expense, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;All Applications&#8221; is generally used for the role review process<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Workstation<\/strong> &#8211; Lists the available Workstation(s) for the person running the report\n<ul>\n<li>SSO Central Admins for more than one Workstation can run the report for &#8220;All Workstations&#8221; or an individual Workstation.<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;All Workstations&#8221; is generally used for the role review process<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Employee Status &#8211; <\/strong>\u00a0Either &#8220;Active&#8221; or &#8220;Inactive&#8221;\n<ul>\n<li>Based upon the employee status on the Workday Employee record.<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;Active&#8221; is generally used for the role review process<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Include Global Roles &#8211; <\/strong>Determines if the report should analyze global roles or not.\n<ul>\n<li>Normally this setting would be No for member role reviewers and Yes for system-level reviewers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>From\/To Month &#8211; <\/strong>This report compares position changes between two months.
