Historically, all members of TAMUS use something called ISAAC, which is a software and workflow tool based upon a risk assessment framework to gather and management their information asset and risk inventories. There is general consensus that this tool, with its processes, lacks many functions that would make it much more effective in managing risk.
TAMUS and a number of members are undertaking a pilot using the platform Archer from RSA, to evaluate the Risk Management and Policy Management components. We will be taking some data from existing members ISAAC databases as a test bed for the pilot.
More information to come once we get some initial results from the pilot. Pilot should start in the beginning of April 2015.
