New

  • Vendor Updates

    • The Interfolio MSA has two new amendments that members should consider when renewing or contracting for new services
      • Amendment 1 requires purchase of Interfolio’s Client Advisory Service if using the Faculty Activity Reporting module
      • Amendment 2 offers a new service called Enhanced Client Advisory Service. The amendments are posted with the MSA at the it.tamus.edu Contracts page
    • I recommend a two-year extension of VMware’s Brad Root
      • This is an “opt-in” agreement
      • A two-year extension will yield fixed pricing and ensure that Brad is not inadvertently reassigned by VMware to another account at the end of the current contract
      • If you use Brad’s services, please send me your input

In Process

  • We have drafted a single system-wide request for TikTok/prohibited technology exceptions

    • We await approval of our plan before circulating the request for member review and once reviewed, submission to DIR
    • Finally, System IT is working on an implementation plan; I expect that plan to take 4-6 weeks given all the input that will be required by the members

      • The five-year, system-wide contract expires July 5 and TAMIU’s contract expires August 31
      • The A&M System will execute a new standard agreement, but each member must execute a new agreement directly with NetSync; an example has been sent via email
