New

  • IT Governance Updates

    • TAMU’s ITAC meets Thursday, April 13 at 8:30 a.m.

     

  • Vendor Updates

    Webex

    • The five-year, system-wide contract expires July 5 and TAMIU’s contract expires August 31
    • The A&M System will execute a new standard agreement, but each member must execute a new agreement directly with NetSync; an example has been sent via email
    • NetSync can renew (at the new price) for up to three years; contact David Monasmith at NetSync (dmonasmith@netsync.com)

In Process

  • We have drafted a single system-wide request for TikTok/prohibited technology exceptions

    • We await approval of our plan before circulating the request for member review and once reviewed, submission to DIR
    • Finally, System IT is working on an implementation plan; I expect that plan to take 4-6 weeks given all the input that will be required by the members
