The BPP Operations Center (BPPOC) oversees user access to the BPP System. It is responsible for assigning and maintaining the BPP RACF IDs issued to individual users of the BPP System. Working with a designated security representative at each system member, BPPOC continually works to enforce the security of the BPP System by regularly auditing the access granted to individual BPP IDs.
Once it is determined that an employee will need access to BPP, the employee and their supervisor will complete the BPP Statement of Responsibility form. This form is then forwarded to the Authorized Security Requester(ASR) for their location. This page lists the Authorized Security Requesters for each workstation.
The ASR will approve the form and forward it to BPPOC using the contact information on the form. BPPOC will notify the requester when the ID has been issued. After the ID has been issued, any request for modifications should be emailed to BPPOC at BPP-Prod@tamus.edu
The Authorized Security Requester at each system member is also responsible for ensuring that BPP System access for their location is correct. Each ASR will notify BPPOC in a timely manner as changes are needed, especially in the case of removing access from an employee. The nightly Budget Action Report BP1606 can be used to help identify any possible access changes.
In addition to their daily security responsibilities, ASRs are also required to complete a quarterly review of the BPP IDs for their location. Every three months, BPPOC will distribute security reports to each location for review. This page explains the quarterly review process.
BPP System users are required to reset their passwords every 90 days. The BPP Operations Center should be contacted if a password reset is needed before the 90 days. This page explains the password reset process
