The Executive IT Council has requested that a task force be stood up to make a recommendation on a policy for 2-factor authentication. Considerations include how broadly and deeply 2-factor authentication should be applied to institution and agency applications and employees (given the differences in size between members). I am looking for volunteers to join the task force and a person to chair the task force. A formal recommendation is expected by the Executive IT Council in April.

Considerations include which services should be provided, whether service would be centralized or remain at the members, and technical needs of a central service needing access to applications and systems across members. - The project team visited leadership at TAMUG, A&M-Commerce, PVAMU, TAMHSC, TAMUG, TAMUT, Tarleton, Texas A&M, Texas A&M AgriLife and Texas A&M-Kingsville.
- Manager skills training continues through November.
- HR Departmental Processors and Liaisons completed Goals and Performance, Tracking Time, and Managing Time Off and Leave skills training. The final two skills courses, Answering Common Employee and Manager Questions, begins the week of November 13. Practice simulations for all skills courses are available in TrainTraq.
- Core HR, payroll, benefits employees at A&M-Commerce, TAMHSC, TAMIU and Texas A&M completed their skills training. The System Offices, TAMUT and Texas A&M Kingsville will complete their skills training the week of November 13. Practice simulations for all skills courses are available in TrainTraq.
