It is with great sadness that I notify this community of the unexpected passing of Steve Erwin with the Columbia Advisory Group. Steve passed away suddenly on Sunday morning, June 14. Many of you know Steve and/or worked with Steve. Steve was a wonderful person and resource for The Texas A&M University System. He was trustworthy, professional and insightful. His family, the CAG staff, and the members of The Texas A&M University System will acutely miss him and his contributions.

- The Academic Technology Council met June 12 and voted to approve Interfolio as the sole System-wide solution for recruitment, hiring, tenure tracking, and career and compensation; this opt-in recommendation will be voted on by the Executive IT Council after the 1:30 p.m meeting on Tuesday

- Captioning Services will provide members with closed caption, transcription, and subtitling solutions to make video accessible, searchable, SEO-friendly, and more engaging; the evaluation committee has selected three firms; contracting with these three firms will begin this week
- Interfolio is a self-service web database program that allows faculty (or staff) to use the Internet to maintain their teaching, research, and service records. TAMU and PVAMU already have member agreements with Interfolio.; the recommendation to approved this opt-in system-wide contract goes to the Executive IT Council this week
- Qualtrics is a tool that provides feedback from customers, employees, and students; the System Offices has agreed to a system-wide agreement starting September 1; details to come
- RELLIS NaaS contract negotiations continue with AT&T
