  • IT Governance

    • The CIO Council meets Monday at 10:00 a.m.

  • A new Electronic and Information Resources (EIR) Accessibility Awareness TrainTraq course (2114218) has been launched

    • The course is the result of a collaboration of EIR accessibility coordinators, training specialists, and instructional designers across the A&M System
    • The launch is an important step in reducing risk and reinforcing our commitment to access for people of all abilities
    • It will be required for all employees, including student workers, beginning Fall 2022

     

    The course will help A&M System employees:

    • Recognize digital content and information technology which must be accessible
    • Outline how everyone is positively affected by EIR accessibility
    • Define Universal Design and identify common ways to improve access to EIR
    • Summarize the benefits of EIR accessibility

Security Operations Center Governance Board

Purpose

Provides cybersecurity services to enhance the IT security position of A&M System members

 

Responsibilities

Provide financial oversight, guiding principles and strategic direction for the A&M System shared service implementation of the Security Operations Center

Vice Chair: SOC Board Member (rotates)
Secretary: SOC Board Member (rotates)

11 Representatives nominated and elected by the Information Security Council, consisting of:
– Two University Chief Information Officers
– One Agency Chief Information Officer
– Two University Information Security Officers
– One Agency Information Security Officer
– Five Member Cybersecurity Functional Professionals (IT Manager, Network / Security / System Administrator, Analyst, Engineer, etc.)
