The 2016-2020 State Strategic Plan for Information Resources Management, required by Government Code, Section 2054.091, has been approved and is available on the DIR website. The plan contains five strategic goals for information technology that will guide state agencies, colleges, and universities for the next five years. While DIR is responsible for creating this plan, many stakeholders participated in this collaborative effort. They are encouraging you and your staff to review this important document and provide any feedback you may have. The plan and additional information can be found at here.

System-Wide Contracting News
The committee evaluating the RFP for Mobile Application Services has selected a new vendor partner. The details will be made available shortly.
Four entities provided responses to the Student Information Systems RFP. A committee has been formed to evaluate the respondents. Scoring of the responses continues this week.
Siteimprove checks web pages, every five days, for spelling, grammar, broken links, and accessibility. The cost is 54 cents per web page per year. Any members interested in adding this service need to contact me directly.
The System-wide agreement with Cisco WebEx allows members to purchase licenses for their entire faculty/administrators at the low cost of $1.44/month/license.
Syncplicity licensing is available for all members.
Project Helios Updates:
- The Project Helios IV&V (Independent Verification & Validation) RFP has been approved and will be posted Monday, November 2.
- The Project Helios team is off to a solid start and has started looking at current HR and payroll processes. This week focused on two processes – Organization Jobs and Positions, and Staffing. Discussions continue to help Deloitte and Workday understand the details of our HR and payroll processes.
- The Project Helios Change Champions and Project Coordinators are gathering in College Station on November 5. The team is looking forward to meeting everyone.
